'Sholay 3D' on Amitabh Bachchan's birthday

Come October 11, the mega star will have one more reason to celebrate apart from his birthday...

Contrary to initial buzz that the 3D version of 1975 hit ‘Sholay’ was to release on August 15, sources now say that the film will hit the marquee on Big B’s birthday.

Insiders say that with the 3D film now most likely to release on October 11, its promo could be out on August 15.

Reveals a source, "The date was specifically chosen as it coincides with Bachchan’s big day. He is the biggest star we have today and what better day to release the film."

Producer Jayantilal Gada remained unavailable for comment.
