The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) released a video of it's Iron Dome air defence system filling the sky with interceptors as more than 100 rockets rained down on central Israel. This string of rocket attacks are happening over the past couple of days, off which the latest being this Tuesday evening. Israel's Iron Dome is a short-range air-defense system designed to intercept rockets, artillery, and mortars. The system has been in use since 2011 and has helped reduce casualties from rocket attacks against Israeli cities.
The conflict appears to be an age old one since 2014 and the tension between Israel and Hamas soared this week as Palestinian militants took a violent turn and began firing rockets at Israel. There have been casualties on both sides and the dead include both civilians and combatants.
During their clash on Tuesday, an Israeli airstrike struck a high-rise office and some residential buildings controlled by Hamas. Though the occupants were warned to evacuate, an IDF spokesman said, we expect that this powerful attack on the high-rise building, which shook all of Gaza, will lead to extensive shooting toward Israel. As a result, 28 Palestinians have already lost their life, including ten children and a woman on Tuesday alone. Injuries from the fighting arr reported to be in hundreds!!
