On Tuesday afternoon, Pakistan PM Imran Khan issued a statement on the recent Pulwama terrorist attack. "My statement is for the Indian government. You have blamed the Pakistan government without any evidence. It is in our interest that nobody from our soil spreads violence. I want to tell the Indian government that we will take action if evidence is found against anyone from Pakistan," he said.
The video is 6-minutes-long. As per journalist Rahul Kanwal, it comes with as many as 20 edits. He questions that the Pakistani Army and ISI might have edited their Prime Minister's address.
But isn't there a possibility that Imran's address had to be edited because of retakes? The PM is known for speaking easily, without needing any breaks.
Meanwhile, Punjab CM Amarinder Singh has roundly condemned Imran's statement. "You have Jaish chief Masood Azhar sitting in Bahawalpur & masterminding the attacks with ISI help. Go pick him up from there. If you can’t let us know, we’ll do it for you. BTW what has been done about the proofs of Mumbai’s 26/11 attack. Time to walk the talk," he said.
