Reports flooded social media detailing how Shanmukh Jaswant and his brother were apprehended at their residence by law enforcement officials allegedly in possession of illicit substances, prompting an immediate investigation.

Shanmukh Jaswant and his elder brother Sampath Vijay were taken into police custody after authorities discovered their involvement with illegal drugs. The situation unfolded after a woman, purportedly Sampath Vijay's former partner, filed a complaint with the Narsingh police. Allegedly, the police, accompanied by the complainant, arrived at Sampath's residence, where they found the brothers indulging in substance use, specifically reported as marijuana.

The complaint stemmed from Sampath's past relationship with the woman, spanning a decade and even leading to an engagement three years ago. However, Sampath recently distanced himself and married someone else, which prompted the aggrieved ex-partner to file a police report accusing him of deceit.
