Former Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Akhtar recently invited controversy when he commented on cricketer Virat Kohli and actress Anushka Sharma's marriage. Shoaib stated that it was a mistake on Virat's part to get married to Anushka as his game performance has declined since then.

"I am not saying getting married is wrong but if you are playing for India, you would have enjoyed the time a little," he said. The veteran fast bowler also stated that Virat and Anushka should've gotten married after the former's retirement.

Apparently, this statement hasn't gone well with Virushka fans who called out Shoaib for making unnecessary comments and expressed how flawed his logic was. A user wrote, “Shameful. Trying to seek attention by commenting on personal life of Virat Kohli. He should speak about sorry state of citizens and cricket in Pakistan.”

Another tweet read, "Lol... They are in relationship since 2013 and got married in 2017. Check his stats of Year 2017, 2018, 2019. His highest peak in his career came in year 2018."
