Superstar Shivrajkumar announced two awards – one for theatre artiste and another one for film artiste in the name of his paternal uncle S.P.Varadaraj (Younger brother of Dr.Rajkumar) who died recently. He was speaking at salutation to S.P.Varadaraj function at Nayana Hall in Bangalore on Saturday morning.

Raghavendra Rajkumar recounted the simplicity of his uncle Varadaraj, senior directors Bhagwan and Siddalingaiah expressed the commitment Varadaraj had in their four decades association with him. Writer Baraguru Ramachandrappa made the inaugural speech. Senior journalist P.G.Srinivasamurthy informed that in the success of icon of Kannada cinema Dr.Rajkumar his younger brother Varadaraj share was very high.
