Senior artiste Shivaji Raja has unanimously been elected to be the President of Movie Artistes' Association. He will hold the office for a period of two years.

Thanking the MAA on his election, Shivaji Raja has said that he will keep up the trust reposed in him by the association's 750 members. The pension being given will be increased by 25 per cent. The association's 25th anniversary, says the newly-elected President, will be held in a grand way.

Veteran actor Naresh has commended the efforts of Rajendra Prasad in the past. Naresh says, "We have taken steps to mete out justice to artistes from the two Telugu States. We are very happy that the Silver Jubilee celebrations will be organized by our committee."
