Shiva Thaandavam: A litmus test for them all

More than Viswaroopam, it is Shiva Thaandavam, where Vikram is playing roles with two shades, that may well become a bigger hit in Andhra Pradesh. It is because Kamal Hassan's film has no exciting point like AL Vijay's directorial has got. True that the contrast between a Kathak dancer and an FBI sleuth promises to be interesting, but Vikram's role of a sharp-witted but visually-impaired investigator could draw more crowds.
The film, produced in Telugu by C Kalyan (of Komaram Puli and '3' controversy fame), UTV Motion Pictures being the original producer, is a litmus test for many. Since Aparichitudu, Vikram has not had a single hit in Telugu. (For that matter, his going has been dull in Tamil as well). Jagapathi Babu would have struck gold if he gets noticed in his special role.
Thus far, Anushka may have held her own, but she badly needs a hit, as much as her male counterparts.
Also starring Amy Jackson, and music-directed by GV Prakash, the films audio would hit the markets on August 27.
