Director: Bela Bhansali Sehgal

Music: Jeet Ganguly

Lyrics: Amitabh Bhattacharya and Faraz Ali

Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi is being directed by debutant director Bela Bhansali Sehgal and is being produced by her brother Sanjay Leela Bhansali . Like all Sanjay Leela Films one can definitely expect music to be the core of the film. Bela has an unusual romantic story of a middle aged couple and has roped in Jeet Gangly to compose the music for her unique story. Naturally expectations are high.

Ishq Mein Tere Bina

Singers: K.K. & Shreya Ghoshal

The album opens with Ishq Mein Tere Bina a breezy romantic number sung by K.K. and Shreya Ghoshal. He has peppered it with the guitar and drums and fits aptly into the film which is a romantic comedy. But the number gives the feel of a very young love story which is just the opposite in the film. It remains to be seen how Bela has picturised this breezy number.

Khatti Meethi

Singer: Shreya Ghoshal

Followed by another romantic song by Shreya Ghoshal Khatti Meethi is really sweet song that is tinged with the soft tones of the guitar. Amitabh Bhattacharya's lyrics are unique and simple to the core. It is refreshing to see Farah Khan sing this romantic song.

Kaafir Andhere

Singer: K.K

Here music director has got K.K. to sing this melodious sad number. The song begins with the guitar strums followed by the piano and the saxophone. The song has a very Pritam feel to it as Jeet was once associated with Pritam. K.K. is at his best and takes the song to another level. There is a lot of pathos and agony in his voice.

Shirin Farha Ki Toh Nikal Padi

Singer: Neeraj Sridhar

The title track Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi, suits the comical track of the film. It is a very peppy number with lots of techno beats. The song is rhythmic and breezy and Neeraj Sridhar has rendered it superbly. The songs suits the theme of the film.

Kuku Duku

Singer: Mohit

The song Kuku Duku begins with guitar strums and is intermittently interspersed with drums. It has a very retro feel to it. Mohit Chauhan's voice sounds carefree and full of life. Amitabh's lyrics are very apt and the composition is unique and interesting. A light and breezy number again.

Ramba Mein Samba

Singer: Usha

The last song in the album Ramba Mein Samba is a typical vintage number composed by Jeet Ganguly. This time has got Usha Utup to bring in the zest and the pep into the song. It is great to hear Usha Utup after a long time.

A typical pop number with drums, guitar strums and cymbals the song is a rich in attitude and energy. A total fun number the lyrics by guest lyricist Faraz Ali are quaky and humorous. It's a celebration number and we are sure will be fun to watch Farah dance to the beats of this song.

Overall: The album is fun but will appeal to the palate of very few listeners. It has a very vintage feel and is not meant for the younger eclectic crowd. However Ramba Mein Samba will be a popular hit at parties and the album will add to the collector's edition.
