Recently an article appeared in a leading newspaper which spoke derogatorily about Shiney Ahuja. His publicist and spokesperson Dale Bhagwagar reacts:

The article says:

There's something about this angry young man, Shiney Ahuja.

I say:

Definitely, there is.

The article says:

The actor, who is presently shooting for Hijack in Mauritius, has been demanding bigger vanity vans and desi khana.

I say:

On inquiring (after this article 'insisted' upon it), I found out that the insinuation is incorrect. Which means this article was based on false information.

The article says:

Reportedly, the temperamental actor often engages in verbal fights with helping hands on the sets, if his demands are not met with. Obviously, his latest endeavors have only added to

the misery of director Kunal Shivdasani and other crew members.

I say:

After the article appeared, Kunal Shivdasani's unit members called to say that 'the article is utter rubbish and a figment of the journalist's over-active imagination'. Kunal's unit members

even showered a lot of praise for my client Shiney, but writing all that here might seem as if I'm tom-tomming about my client.

The article says:

Our source from Mauritius says, Shiney is extremely stubborn. He is not ready to compromise on anything. If he doesn't get his way, he keeps screaming at our assistant directors. He

wants bigger vanity vans and he is having a lot of problems with the food that we serve.

I say:

No actor should ever compromise on quality, and no paper should ever compromise on the authenticity of what they write. As for this piece of 'sourced' (?) information, I wonder if my

good writer friend (and he'll always remain so) could come up with at least the name of one assistant director who was screamed at. Please, please, please. Just one name… (if there 'is'

one). Ha ha!

The article says:

Shiney's spokesperson, however, terms his demands as 'a basic necessity'. As far as I know, Shiney does not take any injustice lying down. What's wrong in asking for Indian food? We all

have our individual eating habits and there's nothing wrong with it. And he needs more space that's why he has asked for a bigger vanity van, says the spokesperson.

I say:

Shiney's spokesperson has a name. It goes Dale Bhagwagar. When I was TOLD by this writer was that Shiney had asked for a bigger van and Indian food, my reply was, 'I am not aware

about this, but IF THAT WAS THE CASE, what's wrong with it! Space might have been a necessity and food, a matter of choice. Why should any actor compromise?'. But here, my quote

sounds different. Probably it's written in a way to suit the slant of the article. Disappointing.

The article says:

The story goes that Shiney (who has already acquired the label of 'a difficult actor') was very cordial at the outset. He religiously attended workshops and spent time in a flying simulator

to get a hang of the role as the film revolves around a hijacked aircraft. But, once he started filming, Shiney emerged from his cocoon and often showed displeasure about his dialogues
