To promote her West End musical 'Miss Bollywood', Shilpa Shetty donned a glittering pink and silver Bollywood-inspired costume, complete with a crystal-encrusted headdress, for a press meet in London this week, leaving the British media awestruck.

"Shilpa continues to dazzle her British fans with her musical (she loves to call it 'dancical'), performing in various cities of the United Kingdom. She is glad to have been given this platform to showcase Bollywood in the right way. It has also been a real learning curve for her," said her publicist Dale Bhagwagar.

"The musical is not only running to packed houses, but getting her standing ovations almost every second evening," added Bhagwagar. "After her UK tour, Shilpa is scheduled to perform in Belgium and Netherlands, only to return to Britain for a majestic showing of 'Miss Bollywood' on December 12 at the Royal Albert Hall in London," he informed.

It can be mentioned here that last month, the musical rocked Germany for three weeks and her tour across the country got her a lot of accolades and critical acclaim.

Set against the backdrop of London as it prepares for the 2012 Olympics, 'Miss Bollywood' combines traditional Indian music with riveting dance sequences that could be entered in the Olympics themselves.

It showcases an amalgamation of dance forms taken from the east and west of India, with Shilpa re-capturing on stage some of Bollywood's greatest hits over the past 40 years.
