Beautiful actress Shilpa Shetty is about make a comeback to the big screen with her upcoming action flick 'Nikamma'. Also starring Abhimanyu Dassani and Shirley Setia, the film was announced a while ago and now it has a release date as well. Directed by Sabbir Khan, 'Nikamma' will release theatrically on 17th of June 2022.

This will be the first theatrical release in 15 years for Shilpa Shetty, who was last seen in 2007 film 'Apne'. However, Shilpa's was recently seen in 'Hungama 2' which was released digitally.

Talking about this comeback, Shilpa said, "It’s the first film I said yes to after my sabbatical, and I was convinced by Sabbir’s grasp on the craft and the unusual and exciting part he had to offer...Avni has been one of my most challenging roles yet, but also a part I enjoyed playing to the hilt. Can’t wait for people to enjoy Nikamma in the theatres."

Showing optimism about his project, director Sabbir Khan said, "The fresh new pairing of Abhimanyu and Shirley will surprise everyone, with Shilpa in a totally different avatar. I hope that the audiences will show the same love for Abhi and Shirley as they had done for Tiger and Kriti in their debut Heropanti."
