In the glimpse for 'Shekar', we are introduced to a suave and maverick former cop who is back in action to investigate a crime. The titular role is played by the angry actor Dr. Rajashekar, who gets a slo-mo introduction in the teaser. The intro is grand and the style quotient is enticing.

Featuring also Aathmeeya Rajan, Muskaan Kubchandhani of 'George Reddy' fame, comedian Abhinav Gomatam, Kannada Kishore, Sameer, Bharani, Ravi Varma, and Shravan Raghavendra, the film is jointly produced by Pegasus Cinecorp, Taurus Cinecorp, Sudhakar Impex IPL, and Tripura Creations.

The makers today said that plans are afoot to release 'Shekar' in January next year. Having completed its shoot, the cop thriller is in the post-production phase.

With screenplay and direction by Jeevitha Rajashekar, the film is bankrolled by Beeram Sudhakara Reddy, Shivani Rajashekar, Shivathmika Rajashekar, and Boggaram Venkata Srinivas.

Anup Rubens, who has composed music for 'Drushyam 2', is on board. Mallikarjun Naragani has cranked the camera and he has used a distinct colour palette for the cop thriller. Lakshmi Bhupala, the happening writer, is associated with the project. Art Direction is by Sampath.
