The case of Jyothika is indeed a queer one.
Some years back she made her presence here in Telugu (acting even with the likes of Chiranjeevi).
But then, she became very busy in Tamil and was one of the big stars there.
In the event, her appearances here were only fleeting or only through dubbed ventures. Of course, she made occasional forays through films like Mass. But they were far and few between.
In the meanwhile, there were also stray talks that she was about to settle down in life after marrying Tamil actor Suriya. Even as the rumors are still to die down, Jyothika is picking up a notch or two and progressing in her career.
Two of her big films are set over the next two months. One is of course, Shock, slated for February launch. The second is Magadeera, set to release in April.
Jyothika, who has reached a stage where she is not worried about the number game, is the real top starlet of the South. She combines both beauty and screen presence. her acting has also improved (she was the standout performer in Chandramukhi).
So in the interests of film buffs, Jyothika needs to go on.
