Rumours of his daughter Sonakshi Sinha's marriage to actor Zaheer Iqbal have been addressed by Shatrughan Sinha. Shatrughan said in a Zoom interview that he had not spoken with Sonakshi about her wedding arrangements or been told that she was getting married. He made clear that anytime the pair chooses to discuss their plans, he and his wife will bless them.

"I haven't spoken to anybody about my daughter's plans," said Shatrughan, who is now in Delhi. Is she getting married, is your question. Her silence on it is the response. The media reports are all I know. My wife and I shall bless her if and when she gains my confidence. We hope she always has joy."

He declared his whole confidence in his daughter's judgment, stating, "She is free to make her own choices. She would never make an unlawful or unconstitutional choice as a consenting adult." "Whenever my daughter gets married, I would like to be dancing right in front of the baaraat," said Shatrughan.

He stressed one more time that he is waiting for Sonakshi to let him know about the wedding. Many who know me well wonder why I don't know about this when the media does. I can only remark that, these days, kids just inform; they don't ask parents for permission. We're holding out for word," he remarked.

According to media accounts, invites have been extended to intimate friends and relatives, including the whole 'Heeramandi' cast. With its message, "The rumors are true," the wedding invitation seems like a magazine cover. There will be festivities at Bastian in Mumbai.
