'Shatamanam Bhavati' being a Sankranthi release, the maiden song comes with large doses of singing an ode to the innocence/munificence of the village. Srimani's lyrics smell of the scent of nostalgia and the charm of the villagers who exude virtues. By and large, Mickey J Meyer's music re-iterates a sound that revels in elevating the atmospherics. Anurag Kulkarni's prominence pays. Ramya Behara and Mohana Bhogaraju are largely heard playing second fiddle to the male singer.

Chitra and Vijay Yesudas render the song in unison; the bliss of the chorusing is not lost. A range of singing talent chip in for the title song.

Sameera Bharadwaj is the soul of this number. She perfectly delivers the nuances, besides being at her mellifluous best. Sastry's lyrics throw up certain stock descriptions for the guy. Phrases/words like 'challa gali', 'chandamama', et al abound. Mickey does a rip off of a 'Brahmotsavam' tune of his own, which becomes obvious while 'atu itu yekkado' is being played.
Nilavade

Unarguably the album's best song, the number is a happy throwback to the golden days of the legendary Maestro. SPB is at his romantic and exuberant best. When Sastry pens lines like 'Nene prema lekha ga mari yedute nilichanu', he has us rooting for the lover boy. Sections of the audience have it that the duet must be between Prakash Raj and Jayasudha, the 'vruddha dampatulu'. Let's keenly wait for the song on the big screen.

Micky reduces the song to a rip-off with no takeaways. The 'Brahmotsavam' deja vu is pronounced. The Sankranthi number has indulgent references to items like rokallu that have a great nostalgic value these days. Srimani's lyrics borrow stock phrases like 'santoshalu mana sontham' and so, they don't make an imprint.
Verdict:
For all the beaten track he has started to take, Mickey J Meyer's music invites a lot of admiration because of the melodic value of his tunes/instrumentation. 'Shatamanam Bhavati' comes with excellent vocals from the likes of SPB, Chitra and Sameera Bharadwaj.
