Kannada film actor Shashikumar of three decades, once an MP from Chitradurga has taken an expected decision to jump from one party to another in the wake of no ticket to contest May 12 Assembly election from Congress I. Shashikumar was originally from JDS of HD Deve Gowda. He became MP in 1999 from that party. He switched to Congress I in 2004 when ticket was denied. Now from Congress I he moves to Janata Dal S of HD Deve Gowda.
On the one hand Dr Ambarish is in commanding position, his colleague of the party and cinema profession Shashikumar has defected from Congress I to Janata Dal Secular.
This last minute jump from Congress I to JDS has also fetched a seat from Hosadurga constituency to contest the May 12 elections. In the same constituency Shashikumar was rejected ticket by Congress I. On Thursday Shashikumar joined JDS and filing nomination soon.
Like Shashikumar there are a few more in ruling Congress I party who switched over to another political party for gain.
Yet the ethics of Congress I and Janata Dal Secular are different. How this transformation is possible is not a question to ask for the politicians.
