It has been reported that actor Sharwanand has sent a legal notice to 14 Reels Plus over alleged non-payment of Rs 2 Cr to him as remuneration for 'Sreekaram'. The ball is now in the court.
As per reports, the 'Mahanubhavudu' actor had been paid three-fourths of the remuneration before the release of the message-driven movie. With the film bombing at the box-office due to stiff competition from 'Jathi Ratnalu' this March, the producers couldn't pay the rest of the fee.

Unverified reports say that they gave the 'Shatamanam Bhavati' director a cheque for Rs 2 Cr, which bounced.
Sharwanand would have secured a box-office hit had it not been for the timing of the release. Starring also Priyanka Arul Mohan, Rao Ramesh, VK Naresh and others, the film's failure has resulted in this controversy, which looks to be settled out of the court in all probability.
This year, the actor is expected to have two more releases. One is a Dream Warriors Picture product, which stars Ritu Varma as the heroine. the shooting of this untitled flick was completed last year itself. It's a Telugu-Tamil bilingual.
The other one is 'Maha Samudram', co-starring Siddharth, Anu Emmanuel and Aditi Rao Hydari. It's directed by Ajay Bhupathi and is produced by AK Entertainments. The films will lock a suitable release date once the second wave is over.
