From being a non-entity till eight years ago, Sharwanand has now grown up to be one of the most sought-after heroes in Tollywood. With no sobriquet to his credit, he is of late fondly called 'Hat-trick Raja' by sections of the media and audience. IndiaGlitz chronicles the challenging 'prasthanam' (journey) of the actor, whose career till date spans over 13 years.

Right from when he was a child, Sharwa wanted to be an actor. He still wants to be an actor, not a hero. Such is his conviction to keep the temptation to metamorphose into a hero at bay He started off playing trivial to not-so-major roles in the films Gowri, Yuvasena, Shankar Dada M.B.B.S., (all of which were year 2004 releases), and Sankranthi (2005).

Like all focused actors, Sharwa bid his time for good. But when the right opportunity crossed his path, he took a smart plunge. After Vennela (2005) gave him the first much-needed break, he didn't accept mainstream hero-type roles in a hurry. Joining hands with Gunnam Gangaraju, he played the role of a mentally retarded child-man in Amma Cheppindi in 2006. In the same year, he shared screen space with Venkatesh for the second time (the first time being Sankranthi). While Amma Cheppindi flunked, Lakshmi gave me visibility.

Veedhi in 2006 and Classmates in 2007 flopped. But it was the 2008 film Gamyam which really catapulted him into a different league. This was the case despite Sharwa sharing screen space with Allari Naresh. Kadhalna Summa Illai (the Tamil remake of Gamyam), Naalai Namadhe and Raju Maharaju followed. Andari Banduvaya and Prasthanam followed in 2010. While the former was not big for him, his second outing with Deva Katta, Prasthanam, gave him a much-needed impetus.

Like Gamyam, Prasthanam too saw him sharing screen space with someone else. It was Sai Kumar this time who stole the show. But Sharwa got his due. Engaeyum Eppothum (Tamil) in 2011 gave him a break in Kollywood. The dubbed version Journey too was a hit. Nuvva Nena in the following year saw him doing an Amma Cheppindi act for a while, but this time, he had no critical applause going for him.

But Ko Antey Koti, which he also produced, was a film which unveiled a new Sharwa. Satya 2 in 2013 had nothing to write home about.

His best phase began with the release of Run Raja Run in 2014 and Malli Malli Idi Rani Roju in 2015. He was poised to make it big. He was on the verge of delivering a hat-trick. Director Sujeeth saw a different personality in Sharwa and the Filmfare was his. This January, his film Express Raja withstood competition from three big-ticket releases and gave Sharwa his hat-trick. JK Enum Nanbanin Vaazhkai in Tamil happened somewhere in between.

At present, he is doing a film produced by BVSN Prasad. IndiaGlitz wishes the actor will in near future get an opportunity to work with Puri Jagannadh, one of his favourite directors, besides getting a negative role!
