Handsome hero Sharwanand sustained severe injuries while practicing sky diving in Thailand for his upcoming Telugu remake of '96' in which he reprises the role played by Vijay Sethupathi in the original. He has undergone surgery at a private hospital in Hyderabad and doctors have advised him to rest for a few days after which he will be discharged.
The production house Sri Venkateswara Creations had earlier tweeted, “Sharwanand suffered minor injury while taking sky diving classes in Thailand for #96TeluguRemake. He will be recovering very soon and will join shoot at the earliest. There is nothing to worry.”. But the injury apparently required the surgery but all is well according to the doctors.
Samantha is playing Sharwanand's pair in '96' Telugu version directed by Premkumar who helmed the Tamil original. Sharwanand is famous in Tamil for his lead roles in 'Veppam' and 'Engeyum Eppodhum'.
