YSRTP president, YS Sharmila, joyfully unveiled the impending nuptials of her son, YS Raja Reddy, with his close confidante, Atluri Priya, on New Year's Day. Recent speculations about wedding bells resonating in the YS family have been circulating, hinting at Sharmila's son entering marital bliss. While the girl's name surfaced in various reports, there was no official confirmation until YS Sharmila addressed the matter.
Putting an end to the speculations, YS Sharmila officially confirmed the reports through a social media announcement. She revealed that her son, YS Raja Reddy, is set to tie the knot with Priya Atluri, with the engagement scheduled for later this month and the wedding fixed for February 17. In a heartwarming gesture, she stated that they plan to visit Idupulapaya to seek blessings from YSR and present the first wedding invitation.
Highlighting the couple's visit to the YSR Ghat, she shared, “Tomorrow, we’ll visit YSR ghat at Idupulapaya, accompanied by the soon-to-be bride and groom, to present the first invitation card and seek Dad’s blessings,” on social media. Priya Atluri, the bride-to-be, is reported to have settled in the US, where she crossed paths with Raja Reddy. The marriage arrangements are underway, with the engagement ceremony set to take place this month, followed by the marriage next month.
Notably, love marriages are not unfamiliar in the YS family, as YS Sharmila herself entered into a love marriage. It seems that her son is following in her footsteps. The announcement of the marriage news on the eve of the new year adds an extra layer of significance to the upcoming union, and in just a month and a half, the couple will embark on the journey of marriage, marking the next chapter in their relationship.
On the political front, Sharmila is set to become the APCC chief and take on her own brother AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy and the ruling YSRCP headon in the upcoming elections.
