'The Family Man' fulfilled Sharib Hashmi's longtime dream

The rise of OTT platforms has been a boon for Sharib Hashmi who has managed to get some significant roles in well acclaimed web shows. This is really a big deal for someone who dreamt of being an actor all his life. His most popular character is JK Talpade from the show 'The Family Man'. Sharib believes that Talpade's character has brought him the fame and popularity which he always craved for.
The 45 year old actor told a news outlet, "I didn’t expect it to surpass my expectations and I am feeling very emotional about it. For years I was craving for recognition and I am glad I got it from JK."
Sharib Hashmi's life has been full of ups and downs and we can all relate to that. He wanted to be a 'hero' but he soon realised that he didn't fit the typical hero role. He said, "When I grew up, I was just 5’4 feet and felt that I couldn’t become a hero so I thought I don’t want to become anyone else. But I wanted to do something in this line so I worked as an assistant director and started writing non-fiction shows for MTV and Channel V.”
Then in year 2019, he emerged as the fan favourite, happy go lucky Intelligence Officer in 'The Family Man'.
