Have a passion for acting? Want to rub shoulders with Surya, the most happening hero in Tamil? Well, how do you quench the thirst? Well, drink Pepsi.
Sounds silly?
Well, the lucky winner of the 'Pepsi Drinking-Suriya-voda Acting' contest will get a chance to rub shoulders with the actor in the movie Aaru.
There will be no remuneration but the prize could well be a cameo role.
At a media briefing, Punita Lal, Executive Director (Marketing), Pepsi Foods Pvt. Ltd, said the contest reiterates Pepsi's youthful positioning and aims to provide a larger-than-life experience to its consumers. 'It has been the brand's endeavor to fuel youth's thirst to make the most of their life.'
Surya said, 'Pepsi has an excellent pulse of what the youth aspire for. It's my privilege to be part of this exciting contest providing a platform for the young talent in the State.'
The contest will be valid on all Pepsi glass and PET bottles, with a guaranteed prize option printed under the bottle crown or label.
The sure prize is an autographed picture of Surya along with a free 'Oye Bubbly' sms ringtone. The other three prizes include a VCD of Surya's music hits, meeting with Surya on the sets of his movie Aaru and the bumper prize is a 'Screen Test' to qualify for auditions to act with Surya.
The preliminary auditions will be held across eight cities on 7th, 14th, 28th August and 4th September at the selected Reliance WebWorld outlets across the State. In a first-of-its-kind, the auditions will be held via a video conference facility that connects the eight cities and Chennai.
The auditions will culminate in a grand finale of 40 contenders, out of which, one lucky winner will be chosen by Hari, director of 'Aaru.'
