The season 2 of 'The Family Man' was released a few days ago and it is being applauded for keeping up with the amazing quality of first season. Season 2 also follows Manoj Baypayee's Srikant in two parallel journeys. In one he is trying to save the world while in other he is trying to maintain the balance in his personal life. Sharad Kelkar, who plays an important role in the second narrative believes that people consider him as the real villain of the show.

He said in an interview, "Take for instance the Operation Zulfiqar in season one. So many people believed that Arvind was behind it. The assumptions are there; about why I'm in the show in the first place. 'Arvind will be revealed as the villain; he's a terrorist'. All these assumptions were made in the previous season. And that's the beauty of the writing."

Sharad further added, "That's because of the show. People are involved and have evolved with the show. They are attached to the characters. If your audience is attached to you, that means your show is good." The third season of the much acclaimed web show is being planned as of now.
