Tamil actor Shantnu, who is the son of veteran actor Bhagyaraj, spoke about the existence of nepotism and groupism in Kollywood. Actor Nataraj Subramani took to his Twitter profile to ask whether there is existence of groupism in Tamil film industry. He wrote, “I don't know if there is Tamil cinema Nepotism or not .. But there is groupism ... Someone can determine what is available to whom ... Who are you ????” (sic)
Replying to this, Shanthnu Bhagyaraj wrote, “#Nepotism is here too ..It's the same kind of people who decide who should work with us ...They support a few to maintain quality and will not allow others to increase their quality.” (sic)
This tweet has gone viral and many were shocked to see Shantnu saying that. Well, many have thought that nothing as such would exist in the Tamil film industry.
A lot about the existence of nepotism in Bollywood is being heard. Music director AR Rahman and sound engineer Resul Pookutty have also said that a few people made sure that they never got any projects in Bollywood.
With the statements made by Rahman, all eyes fell on the Tamil film industry as well.
