Shankarabharanam
Actor Nikhil, who is on a song with back-to-back hits like Swamy Ra Ra, Karthikeya and Surya vs Surya, has teamed up with new comer Uday Nandanavanam for Sankarabharanam. The film which is loosely based on Bollywood film Phas Gaya Re Obama will see Nikhil as an NRI.
Set in the backdrop of Bihar, Sankarabharanam also features Nandita Raj as the love interest of Nikhil. Anjali has played a pivotal role and her character is one of the major attractions of the film.
The film's title is named after legendary director K Vishwananth's classic Sankarabharanam. However, the Nikhil starrer film has no similarities with the 1979 musical drama and is touted to be an action packed love story. Writer Kona Venkat has penned the script and dialogues for this film.
MVV Satyanarayana, who earlier produced horror-comedy Geethanjali has bankrolled the project. NRI Praveen Lakkaraju has scored the music. Nikhil is hoping that Sankarabharanam will continue his triumph at the box office. Brahmanandam, Rao Ramesh, Sapthagiri and Sampath Raj played vital roles.The film is scheduled for release on November 20.
