Director Shankar through his S Pictures produced 'Imsai Arasan 24aam Pulikesi' directed by Chimbu Devan in the year 2006 which became a blockbuster. Vadivelu for the first time in his career played dual roles of a comical king and a revolutionary and the film catapulted him to hero status. After twelve years Shankar once again started the sequel to the film and shooting went on for a few weeks and then was stopped due to Vadivelu having creative differences with the team. After several rounds of talks between Shankar and Vadivelu through the Producers Council, it is now learned that the two have come to a compromise and the Vaigaipuyal will resume shooting 'Imsai Arasan 24aam Pulikesi' soon. Director Chimbu Devan is already on to a multistarrer produced by Venkat Prabhu and starring the 'Chennai 600028' gang. But it is said that the director will first complete the pending project and then move to his new film.
