Shankar is one of the Indian filmmakers who prefer to make high budget films with top heroes in the industry. He has now joined hands with Telugu star Ram Charan for a multilingual film with Kiara Advani playing the lead lady.

The official announcement of the pan-Indian drama was made months back, and the film muhurat puja was held in Hyderabad later with Bollywood star Ranveer Singh and Director SS Rajamouli gracing the event.

Now, the latest report suggests that Shankar has locked the budget for the film starring Ram Charan, and the shoot is expected to start from next week. Shankar has finally zeroed on the estimated film cost around Rs 200 crore for the film as it involves top specialists.

But it looks like the producers are planning to cut short the budget by 30 crores and have asked Shankar to bring to it 170 crores. Now, Shankar has remodelled the structure, and the film shooting is planned to begin from next week on October 21 in Pune.

Ram Charan is said to be playing a dual role, while Kiara Advani plays the leading lady. Thaman is scoring the music for the mega-budget drama, and the film is produced by Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations.
