Director Shankar at the audio launch of 'Traffic Ramaswamy' lauded the social activist calling him "The Indian without a sword". He revealed that he always wanted to make a biopic on Ramaswamy who he feels is like the Ambi in the film 'Anniyan'
Shankar shared that 'Traffic Ramaswamy' lived near his office and he was thinking of meeting him and having a discussion for a week to get the script ready. The celebrated director had Superstar Rajinikanth in mind to play the famous social activist and was disappointed when director Vicky beat him to it. However he stated that his guru S.A. Chandrasekhar was the right person for the role as he is aware of his social conscience which also rubbed on to himself.
Shankar's '2.0' starring Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar will hit the screens in 2019 while he is gearing up to start filming 'Indian 2' with Kamal Haasan soon. Do watch the video below for more on the 'Traffic Ramaswamy' audio launch.
