We already reported to you that Thiruchitrambalam has become the highest-grossing Dhanush film. The movie grossed Rs 100 crores at the worldwide box office collections in 13 days and has surpassed the lifetime earnings of 'Karnan' and 'Asuran' to emerge as the actor's biggest grosser in Tamil Nadu.

Ace director Shankar who happened to watch the movie recently took to his Twitter and shared some words of praise about it. He wrote on the social media platform: "#Thiruchitrambalam.A Beautiful movie. The beauty is in lovely moments that follow the painful ones.@MenenNithya ‘s character & superb performance seizes hearts,the writing by @MithranRJawahar as well.#DNA at their best as usual. The movie starred Dhanush, Nithya Menen, Prakash Raj and Bharathiraja in lead roles with Raashi Khanna and Priya Bhavani Shankar in supporting roles. The film revolves around Dhanush - a food delivery driver who falls in love with different women in his life.

'Thiruchitrambalam' is directed by Mithran Jawahar. Produced by Sun Pictures, the movie was released in theatres on August 18. This film marked the reunion of the Dhanush & Anirudh combo after 7 years.
