Director Shankar, known for his larger-than-life films, is currently working on his upcoming project 'Game Changer' starring Ram Charan. However, it's his recent social media post that has caught the attention of the film industry. Shankar issued a stern warning to filmmakers about the unauthorized use of scenes from the renowned Tamil novel 'Veera Yuga Nayagan Vel Paari', which he holds the rights to and plans to adapt for a future project.
In a strongly worded statement, Shankar expressed his displeasure over what he called plagiarism of key scenes from the novel in recent films. He noted, "Attention to all ! As the copyright holder of Su. Venkatesan’s iconic Tamil novel 'Veera Yuga Nayagan Vel Paari', I'm disturbed to see key scenes being ripped off & used without permission in many movies. Really upset to see important key scene from the novel in a recent movie trailer. Kindly refrain from using the scenes from the novel in movies, web series and any medium, Respect creators' rights! Refrain from Unauthorized adaptations of scenes, Refrain from infringement or face legal action!"
