Director Shankar, no less, has tweeted that 'Khakee' is a breathtakingly narrated cop actioner. After watching the film's Tamil version, the '2.0' director had this to say:

"Theeran Adhigaram 1. A terrific cop movie. Nail biting..edge-of-the-seat.. excellent efforts and detailing by director H Vinoth. Well done, Karthi, Ghibran DoP and the whole team," he tweeted.

"Our film is an edge-of-the-seat crime thriller, based on real incidents that took place between 1995-2005 and it is all about how some cops from Tamil Nadu nab a bunch of ruthless dacoits from Rajasthan despite facing many challenges and even personal losses," the makers recently said.

Also starring Abhimanyu Singh and Rakul Preet, the engaging movie has been directed by H Vinoth. Produced by Umesh Gupta and Subhash Gupta of Aditya Music Pvt.Ltd, it hit the screens on Nov 17.
