Shankar, one of the most respected Indian directors and who makes priciest movies, recently completed 25 years in cinema. His debut movie, 'Gentleman', was released in mid-July.
As a mark of respect, his assistants have held an event to celebrate their boss' glorious 25-year career. Acknowledging the contribution of his assistants, the director today said, "Overwhelmed by the affection showed by my assistants. Without you all my journey wouldn’t be possible."
The contribution of his technicians, especially AR Rahman, has been huge in the making of the phenomenon called Shankar. The 54-year-old filmmaker has made films as different as the vigilante drama 'Bharateeyudu' to romance-action 'Premikudu'. He awaits the release of '2.0' on November 29. He is scheduled to direct Kamal Haasan's 'Indian-2'.
