The fans of Shankar, Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar, and science fiction lovers are waiting with bated breath for the release of '2.0' on November 29th which is touted as the costliest Indian film ever. Last evening the promotional press meet for the Telugu version of the film was held in Hyderabad where Shankar shared the reason why the film went over budget and also the undue delay in releasing as well.
According to Shankar the '2.0' involved heavy computer graphics works which was handed over to a VFX company. But unfortunately, they kept on delaying and finally had promised to hand over the film by December 2017 when the grand audio launch was held in Dubai. However, the company failed to keep up with that deadline too and that is when the ace director realized that they weren't equipped or competent enough to handle such a big work. Lyca Productions was then forced to assign a different company to takeover the VFX work and that caused not only the budget to shoot up but also further delayed the film's release by one year.
