Shane Nigam’s long delayed film ‘Veyil’ has got a new release date. The makers have announced that the film will be hitting theatres on January 28, 2022. Written and directed by debutant Sharath, who has earlier assisted the renowned filmmaker Lijo Jose Pellissery in the highly acclaimed films Angamali Diaries and Ee Ma Yau, the upcoming movie is a realistic thriller. Apart from Shane, the movie also features Suraj Venjaramoodu in an important role. The movie's trailer was released last year and it promises to be a family emotional roller coaster ride that revolves around the bonds within a family featuring Shane in the lead role.

'Veyil’ was in the news for all the wrong reasons after the actor made severe allegations against the movie's producer Joby George of giving him death threats. On the other side, the producer accused Shane of unprofessional behavior, which eventually led to a temporary ban of the actor in Mollywood. After multiple discussions of various associations in the Mollywood industry, the problem was solved and the shoot resumed.
