The official teaser of Shane Nigam-Nimisha Sajayan starrer 'Eeda', has been unveiled and in less than 24 hours of hitting the internet, the teaser video became trending on the third position on YouTube India with over 70000 views. Touted to be a romantic story, Eeda, a Kannur-Kozhikode slang word which means 'Ivide' or 'here', is set against the backdrop of Mysore and North Malabar. In the movie, which is an independent adaptation of William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, Shane Nigam plays an MBA graduated who works in an insurance company and Nimisha plays the role of Aishwarya, a college student. 

Written and directed by the National Award-winning director B AjithKumar, Eeda also features Alencier Ley, Manikantan Achary, Shelly Kishore, Sudhi Koppa, Sujith Shanker, Rajesh Sharma and P Balachandran in supporting roles. The National award winner Surabhi Lakshmi is also playing a pivotal role in the movie.

Produced by Sharmila Rajaa in association with the banner Collective Phase One and distributed by LJ Films, 'Eeda' is scheduled to arrive at theatres on January 5.
