The Association of Malayalam Movie Artiste (AMMA) held an executive committee meeting and solved the issues between actor Shane Nigam and the Kerala Film Producer's Association. At the executive meeting in Kochi, Mohanlal, actor and president of AMMA, declared that Shane has promised to obey the directions of the association.
“Shane has promised to obey the decision of AMMA. We need to settle the issue in a peaceful manner. Shane will complete all the three movies ‘Ullasam’, ‘Qurbani’ and ‘Veyil’ that were interrupted,” said Mohanlal addressing the media. Shane who took part in the executive meeting was asked to immediately complete the dubbing of ‘Ullasam’.
Shane has also assured the executive committee of AMMA that he would abide by its decision to resolve the differences between him and the producers that began in October last year. It all started after the Kerala Film Producers Association decided to discontinue all association with the actor in the future after receiving several complaints against his indisciplined conduct on the sets. However, after several months now, the battle between Shane and Producers association seems to have come to an end amicably.
But the actor is into yet another controversy. Reportedly, the producers' association had asked the actor to complete the dubbing for Ullasam before January 6. However, he failed to turn up as he was not paid his full salary.
As per the agreement signed two years ago, Shane was given a salary of rupees 25 lakh for 'Ullasam'. But it is alleged that the actor has asked for rupees 40 lakh claiming that his salary his rose after the success of 'Kumbhalangi Nights'. Thus the producers have decided that they are not ready to resolve until Shane completes the dubbing of ‘Ullasam'.
