Actor Ranbir Kapoor, who has been away from the big screen since last few years, is all set to make a grand comeback with the film 'Shamshera'. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor and recently, YRF shared a short teaser and announced the release date of the film. 'Shamshera' is going to hit the screens on 22nd of July 2022. The caption on the teaser read, "A legend will rise on 22nd July. Celebrate #Shamshera with #YRF50 only at a big screen near you. Releasing in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.”

The teaser featured Sanjay Dutt sitting on a heap of swords and guns as he says, "This is the story of a man who said slavery is not good, neither of others, nor of the people close to us." Vaani Kapoor continues saying, "This story is of the one who earned a dream about freedom in his father’s legacy.” Ranbir adds, “But nobody gives you freedom. You have to win it. Karam se dakait, dharam se azaad Shamshera (A dacoit by his actions, a free man really)!”

Apart from this one, Ranbir will soon be seen in projects like 'Animal' and the much awaited sci-fi film 'Brahmastra'.
