Four youths in connection with the threatening and blackmailing of actress Shamna Kasim have been arrested. The accused were nabbed by the Maradu police on the complaint of the actress’ mother on Wednesday.

According to the complaint registered by the actress' mother, the accused demanded one lakh cash and if not given threatened to damage her career. According to the actress, two more persons have been arrested in the case.

"All the four have been arrested and they are now remanded to judicial custody. The probe is going on," said the police official. The detained have been identified as Sharath, Ashraf of Kaipamangalam, Rafeeq of Vadanappally and Ramesh of Kadavannoor.
