'Shamitabh' fights piracy!

The film industry has been fighting piracy for years now and the team of Eros International's 'Shamitabh' are the newest crusaders to join the cause!

Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan along with director R.Balki have decided to not release the songs of their film on YouTube or other web streaming portals in the attempt to curb piracy.

The first song of the Amitabh Bachchan,Dhanush and Akshara Haasan starrer titled "Piddly" that has gone on to create a rage online ,was launched on the superstar's social networking accounts as the first step to fighting music piracy.The link posted by Bachchan permits users to download the song for free from the music company`s website.

Reveals a source "The team wanted to share the song for free before other digital platforms start making the pirated version available."

When contacted the film`s spokesperson confirmed , "Amitabh Bachchan has a huge fan following and we knew that his followers would download the song from his link. The idea was to fight piracy and it has worked out well."

Presented by Eros International, produced by RK Damani, Sunil Lulla ,Gauri Shinde ,Rakesh Jhunjhuwaala and Abhishek Bachchan 'Shamitabh' starring Amitabh Bachchan,Dhanush and Akshara Haasan is scheduled to release February 6th 2015.
