Former cricketer and Punjabi cabinet minister Navjot Singh Sidhu has been trolled for coming to the "defence" of Pakistan after the recent Pulwama attacks. "Can you blame an entire country and one individual for what a handful of people have done?" he asked. Sidhu is a friend of Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, a former cricketer and a pro-Jihad politician.
In the wake of Sidhu's comments, The Kapil Sharma Show, the famous comedy show, has sacked him.
"I have always looked up to him as a senior cricketer but his insensitivity towards the tragedy made him stand out," a tweeple said. Many are sarcastically remarking that a TV channel in Pakistan should hire him for a comedy show.
