SHAME: Doctors' duel in operation theater kills baby

In a shocking incident, the duel between two doctors while conducting a C-section operation at the Umaid Hospital, Jodhpur, Rajasthan, resulted in the death of the new-born.

It was a case of criminal negligence on the part of the doctors, which was secretly caught on camera by a staff member.

Ironically, the doctors, named Ashok Nainwal and ML Tak, were arguing over following proper procedures before the operation! Nainwal, an obstetrician, didn't like the way Tak, an anesthetist, performed certain tests before the surgery.

The surgery had to be performed immediately as the foetus's heart-beat was weak. Given the emergency, the doctors were expected to be diligent. But, they behaved irresponsibly.

As the doctors were too busy in quarreling, the baby died of breathing problem!

The Rajasthan High Court has already sought a report on the incident from the said hospital.
