Suriya who debuted as an actor in 1997 in 'Nerukku Ner' directed by Vasanth and also starring Vijay in the past two decades has become a dominant force in South Indian cinema. His recent film 'Soorarai Pottru' directed by Sudha Kongara has won rave reviews and has become a blockbuster hit on Amazon Prime Video.

A rare photo of Suriya and Jyothika with Shalini Ajith has gone viral on the internet. Radhika Sarathkumar and Reema Sen are also seen. Shalini who is one of the biggest superstars as a child artiste in Indian cinema as a grown-up has starred in a few films opposite Vijay, Prashanth and Madhavan. She later married Thala Ajith after starring with him in 'Amarkalam'.

Though Suriya and Shalni have not starred together in any films Ajith and Shalini are family friends of Suriya and Jyothika and share a close bond together to this day.
