Sony Pictures Films India's latest announcement turned out to be a huge treat for the 90s kids. Apparently, the studio is going to adapt India's most popular and iconic superhero Shaktimaan for a big budget film trilogy. Sony has bought the rights of the character and announced that a big Bollywood star is going to headline this ambitious project.
A short CGI teaser of the project was also shared on Instagram which featured a city under crisis and showed glimpses of an improved version of the iconic Shaktimaan costume. The caption on the post read, "After the super success of our many superhero films in India and all over the globe, it's time for our desi Superhero!"
It continued, "Sony Pictures International Productions is set to bring 'Shaktimaan' to the big screen, and will recreate the magic of the iconic superhero, to be headlined by one of India's superstars. We are excited to join hands with Brewing Thoughts Private Limited, and Mukesh Khanna's Bheeshm International. Get ready for #ShaktimaanMovie; more details coming soon. Are you excited?"
