The personal life of Shakeela, the yesteryear onscreen sensation, has always interested her fans. A few years ago, Shakeela adopted a transgender girl by the name of Milla. The actress has brought her up and in one of the episodes of a Tamil-language talk show recently, she introduced her to the world.

Since Shakeela never married, there was this question on fans' minds as to how she could have a daughter. Shakeela has now opened up that Milla is an adopted daughter. She is transgender when she was young and has since been brought her up as her own daughter.

Shakeela has emotionally stated that Milla has been her strength in her toughest times. She has and will always support her daughter, the Mollywood sensation added.

Milla is now a busy costume designer and loves her mother very much.
