Shaji N Karun has been appointed as the Chairman of the year's National film award committee Jury. The ace cinematographer-director will look into the films that had been released or censored during 2008. About 139 films will contest for the National awards of 2008. The screening of the films will start from today at Delhi. Shaji is also the member of the committee that had been constituted to revive the norms for giving awards.

Interestingly, Shaji will also have one of his films ‘Kutty Shranku’ lined up for the next years award committee.
