'Shailaja Reddy Alludu', which hit the screens on Sept 13, has collected more than Rs. 23 Cr in the first three days of its run. Sithara Entertainments has on Sunday held a success meet to celebrate this success.
Speaking on the occasion, Naga Chaitanya said, "I thank the Telugu audience for giving us this huge success. When I came to know of the openings, I myself couldn't believe it. We thank those who are spreading a positive word-of-mouth about our film. Everybody is saying that my body language and look in the film are quite different.
As an actor, this is the best compliment that I have received. When I wanted a hit in my career, you people gave me 'Premam'. Now, this hit. I thank the audience for this love." The actor appreciated the performance of Ramya Krishna, Anu Emmanuel, Prudhvi, and others.
Director Maruthi said, "This film has been welcomed by the Telugu audience as one would welcome the son-in-law. The first day's collections and the grand collections till now are giving us so much joy. Akkineni fans are energizing me. Both family audiences and youths are loving our movie. People are loving it more than they loved my previous movies. I am glad that Chaitanya garu's career-best openings have come for my movie. The success of this film has increased my responsibility as a director."
Anu Emmanuel thanked the audience first. "If we are celebrating this success meet today, it's because of the audience. I thank Maruthi garu and Naga Chaitanya and everybody else. Those who haven't watched our movie as yet, please do so."
Prudhvi said, "Everywhere, the film is running to packed houses. I know how much Maruthi garu worked hard on this film. The audiences are loving the film's theme. It shows the importance of human relations, the place of family and what egos can do. Everybody fits the bill in the movie. Some reviews have said that they are seeing Nagarjuna garu in Naga Chaitanya. I used to do spoofs mostly. Maruthi garu gave me a different role in 'Babu Bangaram'. Again in this film, he cast me in the role of Manikyam. I wish non-stop success to our producers."
Naresh described Maruthi as 'People's Director'. "He has captured this generation's pulse. Naga Chaitanya is doing lover boy roles and has delivered a blockbuster with a family entertainer. I wish Ramya Krishna all the best. Prudhvi has done a nice performance and we all knew his scenes will work big-time. Anu will become a superb heroine in Tollywood. This Vinayaka Chavithi belongs to Akkineni fans. I have got to do a nice role once again after 'Bhale Bhale Mogadivoy'," he added.
Cinematographer Nizar Shafi said thanked the director for the opportunity.
The speakers were all praise for the film's technicians. Vennela Kishore's performance too came in for praise.
