The king of Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan has been away from the big screen for a few years now. Before he started working on his comeback project 'Pathan', there were lots of rumors about his next film. There were reports of him collaborating with almost every significant director in the industry. He was reported to be involved in a social comedy film by Rajkumar Hirani, a superhero project by Atlee and also in a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film.
The reports of him collaborating with Bhansali have revived again. Apparantly, Bhansali wanted SRK for his film 'Izhaar' which is a romantic drama based on the real life incident of an Indian guy cycling his way to Norway to meet his love. Bollywood Hungama reported, "Izhaar was a film that Bhansali wanted to do with SRK around four years ago. It’s a love story revolving around this couple – an Indian man and a Norwegian girl.”
The report further states, "It’s based on the real-life story of the guy who cycled all the way to Norway for love. Bhansali wanted to adapt that into a screenplay and has reworked the script again for SRK’s persual. Now it needs to be seen if Shah Rukh Khan green lights it this time around.”
Bhansali and SRK last collaborated on the classic 'Devdas' which turned out be one of the career defining performance for Shahrukh Khan.
