The Bollywood version of Shakespeares adaptation Hamlet, titled as Haider is one of the next much-awaited project from ace filmmaker Vishal Bharadwaj. After Maqbool and Omkara, this latest Shahid Kapoor starrer joins Bharadwajs trilogy of Shakespeares film adaptations.
Of late Haider has got into problem, given the fact it is being shot in the tension prone area and Indias heavenly location - Kashmir.
The shooting of the film was underway recently at a Kashmiri University at Hazratbal, when the shoot was halted owing to couple of protests held by the students there. First, there was an objection raised while shooting for was a particular scene in which an Indian flag was to be unfurled. Later, some students protests after they found some crew members smoking at their no-smoking area.
Due to these issues, the team Haider had to face some delays in their shooting schedule. Some of the scenes were moved to different locations, while some scenes were said to have been avoided from shooting lest to create any further problems.
In recent times, Bollywood has seen movies being shot in the picturesque locales of Kashmir - namely Rockstar, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Student of The Year, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and now Haider.
