The much-awaited trailer of Shahid Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam starrer ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ is finally out. Helmed by Shree Narayan Singh, the film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Shree Narayan Singh, Nitin Chandrachud, Kusum Arora and Nishant Pitti.

The 3-minute trailer looks damn promising where it has an electrifying first half and then the second part of the trailer sees Shahid playing the role of a lawyer for the first time in his career along with Yami. Shraddha will be playing Shahid's love interest in the film. When his friend played by actor Divyenndu Sharma commits suicide under the pressure of paying a hefty amount of Rs 1.5 lakh as his electricity bill, the ‘Haider’ actor determines to seek justice for his friend. The film emphasises the corruption in the electricity board departments that still exists in parts of India.
